Hi there, I’m Marleen!

I’m 25 years old and born and raised in the Netherlands. I grew up with the forest as my front yard and spend the summers at the Dutch coast. Through the years I fell more and more in love with the mountains. I want to show others the beauty of nature and encourage them to spend more time in the outdoors.

For me it’s the ultimate feeling of freedom to head into the mountains with my backpack and tent. Far away from civilization without any signal I can enjoy nature to the fullest. Nothing beats to see the first morning light hits the mountain peaks after a cold night. I’m feeling grateful that I’ve been able to see the most beautiful places and met the most inspiring people through my work as a travel photographer.

Besides creating content I work as a nurse in the hospital. In september 2022 I started at the Prinsess Máxima Center for Pediatric oncology and in March 2023 I graduated as a pediatric nurse. I think it’s important to be able to help others in hard times. For me it’s the perfect combination with my work as a photographer where I can be creative.
